“I Am the Resurrection and the Life”

All this weekend I have thought of nothing but Gerry’s quiet, inspiring faith. My Thai New Testament has a sweet expression – “luuk uey” – which is Jesus’ wonderfully masculine way of addressing a hurting man: “precious child.” (Mark 2 – the paralytic coming through the roof.) I’m reminded of how Jesus calmly faced a gathering storm and then told his friends, “My enemy is approaching – but he has no power over me.” Gerry, all of us are humbly honored to be part of your community of hope as we journey together toward the welcoming gates of the new Jerusalem.
